We're entering a new paradigm, one where people are becoming awakened to new ways of doing things. We aren't settling for the old ways anymore, the old ways aren't working. This is especially true for business. We are well and truly in the Information Age now, which is great for a self-confessed learning geek like me! I love consuming information about things I am passionate about and I love creating beautiful and inspirational ways to share it with you guys.
dōTERRA have chosen the Direct Selling (also known as Network Marketing) business model to market their products specifically because it works so well for sharing the oils. The power of the oils speak for themselves as soon as you unscrew the cap and inhale their incredible scent. By building a business this way we get to introduce these botanical powerhouses to people who may not know where to begin. We are able to personally help them by sharing oils we know will help their particular need and help them every step of the way.
We naturally network market when we rave to our friends about the addictive show we are watching on Netflix or when they ask us what we are using on our skin because it looks amazing! People love sharing what works with others, and people love having trusted recommendations. It's human nature.
To be able to help my husband get his body clock back in sink after night shifts, and my friend with ADHD who gets a migraine every week during an extra long work meeting in a natural way makes me so happy! By knowing their issues and being able to suggest oils for them to try saves them a tonne of time trying to figure it out and makes their life a lot easier. They are both super grateful. This is why the dōTERRA business model works and is so successful.

Another thing I love about dōTERRA is the fact that we grow our business by helping other people grow theirs. It is the most beautiful interlacing web of support. I have never felt so supported and uplifted in business before and I have been in business for the last 10 years. There is absolutely no pressure from anyone, just pure love and encouragement. In fact as an employer they have very admirable morals, which leads me on to say if you have already got an active dōTERRA account then unfortunately we won't be able to work together. dōTERRA are very keen for you to stay with the team member you signed up with and also that you sign up with the person who first introduced you to the oils. It is a fair system and one that I wholeheartedly agree with.
If you wanted to set up a regular business from scratch you would need capital to invest. Depending on whether it was a bricks and mortar store or not you would need premises and all the overheads that entails. You would need to source your product, liaise with suppliers, manage the stock, invest in equipment, insurance, & marketing. You would need to start from scratch.
Starting a dōTERRA business is so much easier. It relies on word of mouth, relationship building, knowledge sharing and passion. The oils do most of the work for you! There is no contract, lock in or huge upfront investment as in some of the horror stories you hear in the network marketing industry. A lot of the hard work is already done for you by dōTERRA , you just get to wax lyrical about these life changing oils, which you are already doing anyway, and get paid for it.
As part of this business model you also get tonnes of support, which you just don't have free access to as an independent business owner. You will be mentored by me on how to create your unique business sharing dōTERRA oils in the way that makes most sense to you. You will also become part of an incredible community of like-minded people who are also doing what they love and helping each other along the way. You will be learning not only from me, but from Presidential Diamond leader Tara Bliss (you will become a Team Bliss member) as well as Blue Diamond leaders Melissa Ambrosini and Nick Broadhurst on how to grow a successful business. How does it get better than that?!
Have you ever heard of a magic wand list? It's imagining what things would be like in an ideal scenario, as if somebody had just waved a magic wand and it was done! It is great for getting to the core of your being, without all the ifs and buts and barriers we put up to having what we desire.
If I were to sit down and create a magic wand list of what my dream job would entail, it would look like this:

inspiration because it gets me out of bed (OK well my toddler does that but you know what I mean!)

This is why I love dōTERRA, as a company they totally embody all of those things. Building a business with dōTERRA ticks every single one of those things on my magic wand list and more. It brings together all my passions in life, things I have loved since I was a child (there's a reason for everything!) and things I have since discovered I am good at.
Feeling excited is one of my core desired feelings, and this business excites me beyond belief. To be able to combine so many things that excite me into a job, into something that allows me to build my dream life, WOW!
